Global Worker Doug became part of Casas while he attended U of A. Now he and Karen coach and develop ministry leaders from strategically sensitive countries in Central Asia. His leaders in Thirstystan have a great open door to renovate abandoned building shells into beautiful preschools and train teachers to provide a safe, clean place for children. Their parents are working as farm laborers for 10 hours a day - they are amazed at how these followers of Jesus care for their children!
Global Worker Tim volunteered for many years with
young adults at Casas. Now he and Yvonne and their three children live and serve in the Middle East. They are laying
plans to start a SCUBA dive company to serve families and individuals with disabilities. Including the disabled in daily
life is something rarely seen in their part of the world. This
will let Tim and Yvonne demonstrate with actions that
everyone is made in the image of God!
Global Workers Mike and Claire consistently invite Adult Bible Fellowships to participate in one-day projects as they build up urban churches in spiritually thirsty neighborhoods on the south and west sides of Tucson. Mike and Claire continue to expand their ministry of cross-cultural training and outreach in Tucson - and across the country. Right now the only thing slowing them down is the antique computer equipment they rely on!
Global Workers RZ and Julia have welcomed members sent from 10 Adult Bible Fellowships to help them train young professionals and school teachers in their country where only 7 out of 1,000 people are followers of Jesus! Their society is still searching for answers on whether they want to be governed by Islamism, Communism, Materialism...or they wonder...is there another way? RZ and Julia lead a team of 70 full-time workers - but right now they can't even fit everyone into their classrooms who are seeking their unique relational English classes.
Global Workers Roberto and Rosario have started 82 churches in Mexico and Peru. They have included Casas Bible Fellowship members in 40 one-day Lightning Trips to help them reach out to communities in Sonora. Now they are buying land in La Mesa, a new area 21 km outside of the city, with your gifts to Global Outreach. There are 10,000 people in this community- but not one church! Now Roberto and Rosario are dreaming of building a church on this land to begin serving this spiritually thirsty area!
