Re: New Policy on Fund Raising on Plaza and around NWC
Because of the number of ministries that have been using the plaza for fund raising, the information table area has lost some of its purpose and sometimes become a “gauntlet” for people to walk through in getting to church services and Sunday School. Therefore, the following policy is going into effect immediately. If you have a question about a particular ministry or fund raising project, please talk with me directly.
1. Tables on the plaza will be for ministry information and service. This will include:
· distributing information about a ministry
· sign-ups for ministry opportunities, events, retreats, and such
· selling ministry/discipleship items, such as tapes or books
· selling tickets to ministry events
· promotion of ministries or ministry events
2. The selling of items or receiving of funds for the purpose of supporting a ministry will no longer be allowed on the plaza or around the NWC and education buildings. This includes donations of any kind, whether money, clothing, food items, or other gifts.
3. For ministries that collect items (clothing, food, and other gifts), arrangements must be made for appropriate collection points on campus. These collection points will no longer be on the plaza or around the NWC.
4. All tables are scheduled through administration and must follow present policies.
