Procedures for Global Worker-In-Residence Program
Procedure for processing inquiries and applications:
Initial Contact
1. When interest is expressed, Outreach Administrative Assistant sends Application, Policy for Global Workers-in-Residence, and blank Housing Agreement
2. Outreach Pastor and Outreach Administrative Assistant process completed applications at least quarterly
3. Outreach Pastor proposes a course of action (yes or no and dates) for each application
Input
4. Outreach Pastor gets input from Outreach Staff Team, revises course of action
5. Outreach Pastor gets input from Outreach Leadership Team (at next meeting),
Communication of Decision
6. Outreach Administrative Assistant communicates final decisions to applicants and next steps for those approved
7. Outreach Administrative Assistant communicates details with Housing Coordinator
8. Housing Coordinator meets Global Workers-in-Residence to sign the Housing Agreement and give them the keys.
Responsibilities Of Casas Housing Coordinator
1. The Housing Coordinator will serve as a liaison between each Global Worker-in-Residence and Casas. They will be responsible for all management of the property.
2. The Housing Coordinator will meet each new family, provide keys and discuss guidelines.
3. The Housing Coordinator will help the Global Workers-in-Residence feel comfortable and help the family to become acclimated to Tucson.
4. The Housing Coordinator will assess the home's needs and inventory at the close of each period of occupancy and submit a report to the Global Outreach Team.
5. The Housing Coordinator may plan welcoming and farewell receptions for the Global Workers-in-Residence.
6. The Housing Coordinator will communicate with the Outreach Pastor needs to be included in upcoming annual outreach budget.
7. The Outreach Administrative Assistant will maintain the calendar for residency and communicate it with the Housing Coordinator. All applications for Worker-in-Residence will be submitted to the Global Outreach Team for consideration.
